New Concept Design for HME Barge

The LNA team is currently developing an interesting concept design for a new self-propelled Ultra Heavy Mining Equipment Barge. The vessel will be capable of carrying heavy mining equipment with a unit weight of up to 260 tonnes. The deck has been strengthened for extreme high axle loads. This double ended roll on – roll off barge is being specially designed for shallow water operations, with a large water plane area at the ends to reduce trim whilst loading and unloading heavy cargo. Two diesel driven azimuth thrusters will provide propulsion and manoeuvring. In addition it will have day passenger accommodation for 28, a crew mess for 4 and an overnight cabin.
